She took pictures of women from 30 countries to show that beauty is everywhere. Part 1
“I quit my job and started a new life. Two years ago I took my backpack, camera and started traveling around the world, photographing hundreds of real women surrounded by their native culture,” says Romanian photographer Michaela Norok.
This project is called the Atlas of Beauty and talks about the diversity of our planet, presented in portraits of women. The low budget made the author visit among completely different people from different social classes. Now she claims that beauty is everywhere. And it’s not at all about cosmetics or body parameters, but about staying yourself.
"World trends make us look and behave in a certain way, but we are beautiful precisely because we are different. My goal is to continue photographing women in every country in the world, creating the Beauty Atlas - a mirror of the diversity of our society for people's inspiration."
